It came out in 2011 with pilot episodes. The Lego Group announced an animated television series based on the Lego toys of the same name: Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu. It has been so successful that seven years after, it is still one of the best current Cartoon Network shows.

Before its first season, the audience was given an intro to Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu through pilot episodes. Since the very beginning, people seemed to be thrilled with it. A father and two sons. The first Spinjitzu Master used four powerful weapons to create the Lego town of Ninjago. When he passed away, his two sons had to protect the elemental and powerful weapons, but it was not so easy.

One of them, Lord Garmadon, wanted the four weapons, but to use them for dark purposes. An intense battle started between these two brothers. Sensei Wu, the other son and Lord Garmadon’s brother, started training four good boys that will become the protectors of Ninjago and the weapons. Kai, Jay, Zane, Cole, Nya, and Sensei Wu are part of the characters that start being the stars of this fantastic show.

Nine seasons

With the pilot season and season one being such a success, it was inevitable that other seasons would follow. Nine seasons so far, and two more installments for 2019 and 2020 have been confirmed! Each season has had high rated episodes that progressively show a more mature story, but still with a lot of humor.


According to its fans, all the nine seasons have been worth the wait. Rise of the Snakes, Legacy of the Green Ninja, Rebooted, Tournament of Elements, Possession, Skybound, The Hands of time, Sons of Garmadon, and Hunted are the names of all the seasons that Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu has shown on TV.
